Wagner's Rose Nursery are proud to release three new Bruce Brundrett Roses for 2026.

Bruce sadly passed away four years ago, but his legacy lives on through his beautiful roses.

We still have many Bruce's unreleased varieties in our trial beds which we assess and care for until the time is right to make them available to you.

Bruce started as a rose grower with his family business in Victoria in 1956, and during his rose career became one of Australia's most successful breeders.

Shirley's Rose is still a beloved rose, featuring in our bestsellers list every year.

Jessica's Rose won a gold medal in 2021 at the Australian National Rose Trial Gardens, with many others roses winning accolades.

Bruce's unique breeding makes Brundrett roses thrive in the Australian climate - they are hardy and healthy, making them a great addition to any Aussie rose lover's garden!

Pictured below is Shirley's Rose; she produces large, fragrant, fully double blooms with a romantic old-world rose appearance. Each bloom has up to 40 petals in an unusual rich peach-apricot colour framed by the softer ivory outer petals.

The bush is vigorous with good disease resistance and features long stems and long-lasting flowers making it ideal as a cut flower. It grows to a height of 1.5m and, typical of a modern shrub, has excellent repeat flowering throughout the growing season.
