Bare root roses in big demand |
|
|
|
Our budding season is finished and we are now waiting for all those tiny buds to shoot and grow. Hopefully the weather will help them with a mild autumn...
This doesn't mean we can now slow down though, because we know winter is only around the corner and our crazy digging season will be upon us very quickly. Maintenance
jobs in the field will keep us busy in the next weeks, with the very first rose plants to be lifted at the end of April.
We are receiving many bare root orders and we are sure this will be another busy year for the rose industry, with shortage of plants already recorded for many varieties. So, we suggest placing your order now, if you don't want to miss that
special variety you have in mind.
And if you don't find what you want as bare root plant, check our Potted Roses' Collection, before we give our potted plants their winter rest and we pause their sale at the end of April.

A Special Rose for a Great Cause
|
This is a new Australian creation that we've just added to our 2023 Catalogue.
Amber's Gift, named to honour the first Hearing Dog delivered to a recipient in Australia in 1982. Since then, Australian Lions Hearing Dogs continue to provide hearing assistance dogs to many deaf and hearing-impaired Australians, free of charge.
Amber's Gift is a prolific and beautiful floribunda; it has
mulberry/red-coloured blooms fading to mauve, with a moderate, sweet fragrance, and it grows up to 2m high.
Loved by bees, it's also received a Bronze Medal and the Davis Trophy for Best Australian Rose at the National Rose Trial Garden of Australia in 2022.
Proceeds from its sale will be donated to Australian Lions Hearing Dogs, to ensure the continuation of this important community-funded Lions project.
