We are fully into our budding season that will keep us very busy until end of summer, and we are enjoying the flowers growing and showing their beautiful colours in our fields. We love summer! Even if it's a busy and demanding season for us - budding, watering, fertilising, recording your bare root orders, posting potted roses... We never have a slow period here at the Nursery!
But because we know the busy months ahead, we have decided to close our office to the public between Christmas and New Years' Eve - closing on Friday 22nd December at 12pm and re-opening on Tuesday 2nd January at 9am. If you order a potted rose now or during Christmas break, this will be posted after the 2nd of January.
In the meantime, enjoy your Christmas and your summer break! And remember - Your roses won't go on vacation and will need to be loved and constantly watered, especially before very hot days.

You've certainly had the chance to talk to her on the phone or via email, and we are sure you appreciated her great passion for roses. Kelly Hillstone visited our Nursery for the first time with a Tafe students' group, during her Horticulture studies. She loved our place and sent an email the day after, asking if there were any available positions. She already had a permanent job, but her love for gardening and roses finally convinced her it was time for a big change.
Kelly started working with us just a month later, in January 2020, and since then she has learned so much about this industry and our business, that we'll never be grateful enough to have her here. She is now our Office Manager, busy with many administration tasks, but supporting customers and helping them with their roses' questions is still one of her favourite jobs.
Within the hundreds of varieties we grow here in Kalangadoo, The Children's Rose is her big favourite.
